Dr. Constantin Stan is an aesthetic plastic surgeon and the founder of CRONOS MED, a leading group of clinics specializing in plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine in Romania.

Born in Romania, Dr. Stan graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy. He is board-certified in both Head and Neck Surgery and Aesthetic, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery.

He is a member and fellow of several prestigious scientific societies, including the Romanian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the French Society of Aesthetic Surgery, the Romanian Society of Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery, ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery), and IPRAS (International Confederation of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery). Dr. Stan also holds a PhD in medicine, with a dissertation on “The Role of Radiofrequency in Plastic Surgery for the Face and Body.”

A pioneer in the field, Dr. Stan holds several patents and innovations, including the Mono RF Stan Forceps for breast surgery (developed with Ellman International Inc.) and the Biodynamic Planning Consulting System, formerly known as CAIS (Computer-Assisted Implant Selection), for breast augmentation procedures.

In 2009, he was part of the team who developed one of the most advanced anatomical breast implants. With extensive experience in anatomical implants, Dr. Stan has also developed novel surgical techniques, such as multiplane/multilayer pocket dissection, and is a leader in combining fat transfer with breast implants for aesthetic breast reconstruction.

He has published numerous scientific papers and book chapters and has been a frequent speaker at international plastic surgery congresses and conferences.

In 2024, Dr. Stan became the first plastic surgeon in Eastern Europe—and the only one in Romania— performing Mia, an innovative breast harmonization procedure using injectable biocompatible implants. He also joined the Preservé breast tissue preservation project developed by Establishment Labs. CRONOS MED was the first medical network in Romania certified to perform both Mia and Preservé techniques. Now it is no 1 clinic in number of procedures performed worldwide.
